“When you really want something, the universe will conspire to make it happen.” Is that the power of a goal or an intention? Or is there more to it than setting an intention and then letting the universe do the rest? Every task, big or small, is a goal with intentions to get it done. This first blog post on this website is inspired by the all that goes into recreating something… from the idea, the plan, the pain, the procrastination, the dancing around it, to finally sitting down, daring to do, getting it done, and the feeling of completion when it is finally completed...
When thinking about what first comes to mind when pondering on the power of intention, these thoughts arise:
The core energy and driving force around a goal, a wish, a dream, a deep desire we wish is the intention. Goals are best formulated to be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time specific. A goal is a projection into the future, a timeline, a vision of what can be.
The energy of the present moment around the goal we wish to achieve, the starting point, is the intention we need to reach our goals. If we create awareness around our intention along with clarity, and belief in the purpose, we start to move towards fulfilling our goals with focus and deliberate actions. Everything we experience will be the result of the quality and commitment to our goal and the energy of our intention. The universe becomes our “partner in crime”.
To move forward towards our goal, we sometimes, change direction, try a new path, discontinue or simply let go of something. With that, we could be creating space for something new, better, or bigger. That change may serve our goal, and shift our intention, as the universe is in the midst of conspiring…
The intention is a first step and acting on it demonstrates our commitment to our goal and tasks at hand. Here are a few things I do to help the universe conspire:
Though often used interchangeably, goals and intentions are not quite the same. Both lead in the same direction. Goals without intention, that core energy and starting point will never come alive. And the universe can only do so much. It has no thumb. The true responsibility lies in us and our actions. We hold that power.

The intention is a first step and acting on it demonstrates our commitment to our goal and tasks at hand. Here are a few things I do to help the universe conspire:
- I get very specific. I’m clear about the purpose... and I put it to paper.
- I sometimes share it with somebody to be held accountable.
- I try to do something every day to demonstrate my commitment.
- I acknowledge the things I have done and then take the next step.
- I allow things to happen as I firmly believe that everything will come together in the end.
